If you port to giffgaff and are not happy you can always port out to another network at any time so don't worry

Easy to port out again if its not for you. The service is generally fine, just a few website issues now and then but I've been here two and half years and still very happy Smiley Happy

Probably having a beer in the sunshine somewhere.

(TRANSFAR NUMBER TO GIFFGAFF)

Transferring your number to giffgaff is a fairly straight forward procedure.
Contact your current Service Provider and request a PAC code as you want to transfer (or port-out) your number
to another network. PAC codes are valid for 30 days from the issue date. Please follow the link below for full details.

Hope this helps and you get it sorted... Have a great Day Smiley Happy

Its reliable for me (most of the time).

Contact your currebt network and request a PAC

Activate your giffgaff SIM card.

Once you've been allocated a giffgaff number,
then fill in the number porting form.

It can take 24 hours provided you fill the porting
form in before 3pm on the day before.
(Porting doesn't take place on weekends).

See this guide for more info;

Yes, moving your number to giffgaff is straightforward you just need a valid PAC code from your previous mobile network read:

http://community.giffgaff.com/t5/Learn-giffgaff-Top-Tips/How-do-I-keep-my-mobile-number/ta-p/3521127

You should also check the service status and coverage in the places where you use your phone most:

http://community.giffgaff.com/t5/Service-Updates-Notice-board/Find-out-the-service-status-of-your-ar...

In terms of the phone to use. Giffgaff SIM will work in any O2 mobile phone or unlocked mobile phone.

Giffgaff is great as far as my experience has been with them.

Transferring my number to giffgaff
To bring your mobile number to giffgaff,
here's what you need to do:
1. Contact your current Service Provider
and request a PAC code as you want to
transfer (or port-out) your number to
another network. PAC codes are valid for
30 days from the issue date.
2. Make sure your giffgaff account and SIM
has been activated.
3. Log in to your account.
4. Once you've been given a PAC code, click
on the following "Keep my number" link
below this text providing the below
information:
• An alternative contact number (just in
case we need to get hold of you)
• The mobile number you want to keep
• PAC code
• Mobile number for new giffgaff SIM card
• SIM serial number for new giffgaff SIM
card
5. You'll need to store any saved data from
your mobile. Ensure you have made a note
of any important numbers on your old SIM/
mobile, or any data from your message
folders, as well as calendar reminders as
these will not be transferred with your
mobile number and may be lost.
6. On the day of transfer (port-in)
You will experience a loss of service at
some stage between the hours of
approximately 9am and 9pm. As the
process is dependent on your old Service
Provider releasing your number, we cannot
offer assurances about the length of time
you will be without service.
Watch out for an error message on your
screen - when you lose service, you will see
an error message similar to 'SIM card
registration failed.' At this point, put your
new SIM into your mobile.
Keep switching your mobile on and off.
During the afternoon, switch the mobile off/
on several times - the act of switching the
mobile on causes a network search to start
- until the transfer is completed this search
will fail. When the number transfer is
complete we will send you an email
notification via My giffgaff, you will see
giffgaff on the screen after switching your
mobile on.
If you are still having difficulties after 9pm
of the transfer day then click on 'submit a
private question link below and be sure to
include the following information:
• Existing mobile number
• New mobile number
• Alternative contact number
• PAC code
Apply here for number transfer: http://
giffgaff.com/support/portin
Ask an agent here: http://giffgaff.com/
rightnow/ask
if you are getting invalid date error while
sending email to agents :
This is what you need to do :
From drop Down menu choose :
Select category (sim services) >
Then (No services) >
Tick all the boxes and now put relevant info
in the box ...
Giffgaff agent will assign a ticket to this
email and acknowledge it !
