Hi,

I lost my phone last week and blocked my SIM and phone,

Tonight I got my phone back, got my new replacement SIM and reactivated - Nothing happening. "Emergency Calls Only"

One thing to note which worries me;

When I got my phone back I switched it on and all my old data was still there, photos, apps etc. It stayed on for about 30 seconds then the battery died.

I put the phone on charge and activated my replacement SIM

After it charged I switched the phone on and after about 5 minutes it did a full factory reset

Could this have blocked my new SIM despite me just activating it?

Is it a case of waiting or do I have to register my phone as lost again so I get another replacement?

Thanks in advance

Hi, the issue is, your phone is blocked
What do you hear exactly when you call your number from another phone?

Contact an agent here to ask them to unblock your phone
https://support2.giffgaff.com/app/ask/Phones/Place-or-remove-an-IMEI-bar/form/

Dial *#06# to retrieve your 15 digit imei number

Hi You have the option to either enter the 6 digit activation code (this 6 digit code is on the front of the sim Package), or you can use the 13 You can enter the code on this link here: https://giffgaff.com/activate
NOTE: In some cases, this may be 16 or 19 digits.
13 digit SIM serial number, which is located on the back of your SIM card
try restarting your phone a few times to see if this gets it to work
Hope this helps you

@skiba_toad1983

Hello you say you got phone back after reporting it lost stolen

your phone will have been blocked to stop it being used at the same time as sim was blocked ,

you need to get bar lifted and that is done done by a third party for all networks it will take 5 working days https://community.giffgaff.com/t5/Solve-your-questions/I-ve-recovered-my-lost-stolen-phone-SIM-how-d...
