Hello,

I’ve been having intermittent connection problems over the last week or so but today I’m not getting any data at all on my iPhone.

As always I’ve

  • Checked the service status
  • Rebooted the phone
  • Done a manual roam

No problems reported and rebooting and manual roam have not fixed it.

Is this a GiffGaff thing again or something else?

Well if you have tried all the following, a suggestion could be to order a replacement sim as the current one may be faulty.
Get a free Giffgaff Sim

Hi reck, Im sorry to hear this has happened

Can you first of all ensure that your cellular data is turned on.

I would then delete the internet settings on my phone and reinstall them

This seems to solve the issue for a lot of members

Internet Settings

From your iPhone home screen, click on the icon "Settings" > click "General" > click "Network" > click "Mobile Data Network" > tap on the words next to "APN" and you'll then be able to edit the settings

  • APN -  giffgaff.com
  • Username -  vertigo
  • Password - password (This is the word "password" not your giffgaff password)

MMS Settings

From your iPhone home screen, click on the icon "Settings" > click "General" > click "Network" > click "Mobile Data Network" > scroll down the page a bit, you'll see "MMS" settings tap on the words next to "APN" and you'll then be able to edit the settings

  • APN - giffgaff.com
  • Username - vertigo
  • Password - password (This is the word "password" not your giffgaff password)
  • MMSC - http://mmsc.mediamessaging.co.uk:8002
  • MMS Max Message Size - 2097152

Please see this guide for more info: http://community.giffgaff.com/t5/Settings-for-your-device/How-to-giffgaff-iPhones-all-iOS-versions/t...

All the best and I hope this solves your issue

Regarding the settings i'm using the following

apn: giffgaff.com

username: vertigo

password: password

Is vertigo the correct username or should it be giffgaff?

If ordering a new sim is the next step i'll do it but i've just noticed there's a lot of other threads on help and support with people having problems connecting to data and with gg don't have a great repuation for reliability.

Hello yes mobile data is turned on.

I can see OS-Uk 3G at the top of my phone. I don't get an error message, it's just when I try and do anything requiring data it just sits there and does nothing.

adiba7866 i've tried 2020 and installed the profile and rebooted the phone but it's not made any difference. As I mentioned I was already using the correct settings as far as i'm aware.

Thanks anyway.
