No network signal on my s8

Since yesterday i have had no network signal on my s8. Its always been fine.

I put the sim in an iphone and it works.

 

I have factory reset my s8. But, still nothing.

 

Can someone help me please.

I would also try taking out your sim out and trying it in a friend / family members phone that is unlocked and working to establish weather or not it is the sim

Thank you . I've done all of that. It works in my daughters iphone 5 😡😓
But not my s8. I updated it yesterday. I did a factory reset tonight. But, still nothing.
The signal is supposed to be 4g.
I really don't know what to do 🤯😩

@lizl2505 Hi Liz, It sounds like you have done everything that one would in order to get your signal back.
If you have done a full factory reset and you know your sim is working in another handset, I think it is worth doing the sim change in both directions. In other words does your Samsung work with your daughters sim card?
If not and if your phone is unlocked try a sim from a different network. If you still have no results and you have cleaned the sim slot contacts, double checked all settings (although the reset should have done that) for something too obvious that has been changed by mistake , I am afraid it's not looking good for your phone and it is probably a visit to a phone shop (is it still under guarantee or insured?)

may be worth asking at one of the phone market booths to take a look for you. if the sim is ok in daughters phone. good luck.

Or try calling it from a standard phone.

 

Have you tried another sim in the s8?

 

Does it work?

@lizl2505 Just a second thought, switch 4G off and WiFi off, to force 3G and if it works you can add 4G later.

I'm so frustrated. A vodaphone paye works intermittently in my s8.

The giff gaff sim works in an iPhone but not my s8.

I have a full goody bag. But it's not recognised on the iphone. It says I have no credit.

I am going mad  !!!!!!!

@lizl2505 So the sim doesn't fully work in the iPhone?

 

You may have to do a sim swap.

Does the Samsung S8 get ANY signal bars at all?
YES / NO

If yes, can the Samsung S8 make calls / send texts?
YES / NO

If yes, make sure the S8 is correctly configured for mobile data using this guide: http://giff.ly/gg_settings
(The factory reset would have wiped your mobile data settings)

Using your giffgaff SIM, please dial 43430 and press option 2
