No service at all!!

Hello, i bought a 20£ goodybag but i can make only phone calls and no internet . What is the reason i can’t use my gb data?

Have you tried restarting your phone?  Just noticed that maybe you have just activated your sim, it can take upto 24hrs to become fully active though it's usually quicker.

Ensure you have the correct APN settings for your phone in order to access internet

Guide includes settings for several popular devices including iphone, ipad, android & blackberry etc.

If you find the APN/Data settings are correct and still unable to connect Check the signal in your area to check for any faults with the network in your area. You can do so by following this link https://giffgaff.com/coverage-and-service

PLEASE NOTE: the checker only gets updated once an hour so if your problem has just started, or you’re not sure how long it’s been happening, if it says all is good, keep trying for a while to see if it gets an update.

If the signal in your area is fine then you should try a manual roam which will update your connection with the network. Click on this link to view how to do a manual roam http://community.giffgaff.com/t5/Using-giffgaff/Force-the-change-of-SMS-settings/ta-p/4871794

and try turning your device OFF for a couple of minutes and then turn it back ON again to force the device to refresh the network signal.

If that hasn't helped then ask a giffgaff agent to look into this. It may be you need to enter the giffgaff APN settings. use this link.

Check in your phone settings to see if your APN is set to giffgaff or 02.
If it's 02 you need to CREATE a new APN inputting the giffgaff settings and remember to save them do not try to overwrite the 02 settings you must CREATE a new one and when created, SAVE it.
Once it's done giffgaff will show up as a selection in your APN list, just tap the dot to the side it will turn green and your done. Reboot the phone and BINGO. it works.
