Number not compatible With the service

I have been using giffgaff for a number of months with a number I have ported from 3 with out any problems. for the past few days anyone who has tried to phone me hears the message "the number you have called is not compatible with the service you are using..." I have tried to fix it by rebooting my phone but it still does not work. How can I get my number working again?

Hi,
First check services in your area:

Restart your phone ( take battery out if possible) and switch on after 5 minutes.
Make a manual roam:

If doesn't help check your sim in another unlocked or locked to O2 phone. If it works your phone is the issue ( reset to factory settings after you make a back up) if doesn't work order a new sim and make a sim swap:https://giffgaff.com/support/sim-and-number/change-your-sim

It appears a delayed fault has occurred as a result of the number transfer

Contsct an agent to report the problem
Mention the message the person hears when they call your number as that will be important info for the agent

It could be a 3s end that they didnt update there systems that the number was ported out and left it open. After 6 months would close. Only the technicial team at GG can get this sorted to speak to 3

Have you ported the number into the correct account as it appears the account you are using is a few years old.

Were you previously with giffgaff, leave and then come back?
