Yes you can just ask O2 for your PAC and once your giffgaff sim is fully active you can then use the PAC to transfer your number to giffgaff @sumab03.

Yes, Great to hear your friend wishes to join giffgaff. To bring her number over to giffgaf from her previous network provider she will require a PAC Code from O2.

Also, if she haven't already she will be required to complete the SIM activation process before she can request to have a number transferred over to giffgaff. She can follow this guide for the steps on activating your new SIM.

Once the giffgaff SIM is activated and she has the PAC Code she can follow this link to the number transfer form and fill it in with the PAC code , the number she wishes to transfer in and then choose the date she wishes to have the number transferred into giffgaff.

The number transfer process can take up to 24 hours to complete however, usually 90% of number transfers are completed before 3p.m on the requested day. Also note number transfers are not carried out on weekends or public holidays e.g Bank Holiday.

On the transfer date She will experience a loss of service at some stage between the hours of approximately 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. Typically this is no more than a few hours but may take all day, so please make plans so she's not caught out.

At some point during the day, both SIMs will stop working (may be at different times) and after a while (this could be 10 minutes or several hours) your giffgaff SIM will start working again with the transferred number. You may find that calls, texts and data start working at different times and service may be erratic until the process is complete.

Note: During the transfer process, any credit and/or goodybag on your account will be removed temporarily. Don't worry, it will all be returned once the process completes.

For more details on the number transfer process check out this knowledge base link.

Hey @sumab03 once she has activated her giffgaff sim card and it's up and running. She will need to request a PAC CODE from 02 and then once got the Pac Code will need to use this to transfer the number over to giffgaff.

If you need help on how to input the Pac Code then ask the question here again once your friend is all set up on giffgaff and got her Pac Code.

I moved over from o2 to GiffGaff in April - best decision I ever made.

Get in touch with o2 and request pac code. You then have 30 days to use this which will transfer your number over to GiffGaff.

Counting down to my sons o2 contract to end so I can move him over to GiffGaff as well.
