Hi everyone, just came to giffgaff from o2. Trying to get a PAC number from them. I moved to o2 in a rush just to get away from vodafone( a nightmare I won't go into here). I was on a PAYG account with them and got a PAC from vodafone to them. Problem is I did not actually put credit on the account before moving to giffgaff. They are now claiming to give me a PAC number I have to put credit on the phone(£10 minimum). Can anyone tell me if this is true or are they just being obstructive? Thanks

It's true, to have a PAC from O2 I'm almost 99% sure you need to have topped up first.

It is likely they are in order. You have to have an active account before they will give you a PAC code. You could use it up and the when it is nearly run out request a code and then move over to giffgaff.

Thanks for your response. They maybe should not but they already have refused unless I top up. I agree ofcom says they cannot but that doesn't mean they'l won't as ofcom useless.

Also, surely the account must already be active for me to be able to top up?
