PROBLEMS with SIM SWAP

ok guys the Video in the link tells us that you cant have 2 active sims...

Well when i put in the number i get this page not the page on the VIDEO...

First thing the agents are likely to ask is have you confirmed that you're looking at the correct account by texting "USERNAME" to 43430

Try this method to do a IM swap:

 

To use SIM swap to transfer your number, credit and goodybag etc to a new SIM:

 

You need a spare SIM that has never been activated. If you don't already have one, head to your spread giffgaff page. Be sure to select the correct size for your device.

 

  • Log in to the account linked to the SIM you wish to swap;
  • Go to the activation page;

    Capture.JPG
  • Enter the 6 digit activation code from the new SIM;
  • Click Continue. The SIM Replacement page will load;

    SIM Swap
  • Check and confirm the details of the current and new SIMs are correct - especially if you have more than one giffgaff account in the family, otherwise you could end up swapping the wrong SIM!;
  • Click Yes, I want to replace my SIM;
  • Click Yes, I'm sure;
  • Wait while the transfer processes (approx 30 minutes)

 

IF you do not see screens as above, please describe what you see after clicking Continue on the activation page.

sorry mate ive tried that and it DOESNT WORK. it just ASKS me what goody bag i want

Edd you have to log out of gg.
Log out of gg, then click activate a sim, enter the 6 digit code,
then select i have a gg account, then click sim swap. All your account details, credit and goodybags and number will be swapped to the new sim.

Your link reverts back to the first activation page. Can you either take a screen shot, or descibe the content of the page?

On the ACTIVATION PAGE there is NO part that says I HAVE a GG Account...

You will only see the page dalan is referring to if you log out before going to the activation page, enter the code and click continue - you'll be asked to register or log in.

 

Is this the page you're seeing after clicking Continue?
