Hi @anne_templeton

Do you wish to bring a number to giffgaff? If so, number transfers don't occur over weekends or public holidays e.g Bank Holiday. If you wish to have a number transferred the next day you will need to submit the PAC code before 3PM a day before.

Once you have the PAC code follow this http://www.giffgaff.com/support/transfer link to the number transfer form and enter the PAC code followed by the date you wish to have the number transferred over to giffgaff. Please note as with SIM activation's the number process can take up to 24 hours, but usually completed before 3PM on the requested day.

The number transfer will go through the following steps --

1. The Old Network provider Sim Stops working
2. Giffgaff sim stops working
3. Giffgaff Sim starts working (calls, texts, & data will activate at different times.)

For the complete detailed guide on the number transfer process on giffgaff, I suggest you check out this http://community.giffgaff.com/t5/Getting-started/How-do-I-keep-my-current-mobile-number/ta-p/3521127 knowledge base link.
