Hi, im thinking about using the pac code to transfer my giffgaff number to another provider. If i do this, will be giffgaff account be closed or can i activate a new sim to use with my giffgaff account? Thanks

When you port out from giffgaff your SIM card will be deactivated and active allowances e.g goodybag and/or airtime credit will be removed from the account. However, if you wanted once your number has been transferred over to the new provider you can activate a new SIM(top up required) on the existing account and you will be allocated a new random number.

You can obtain the PAC code online here https://giffgaff.com/help/pac-code-request or you can dial 43431 free from your phone and follow the instructions.

Once requested the PAC it will sent to you along with its expiry date by SMS within minutes. You can also see the PAC Code instantly on your My Giffgaff page here https://giffgaff.com/dashboard under your mobile number.

You'll need to give the PAC to your new network within 30 days and they will advise you of the likely transfer date. Please note if you don't use the PAC code within the 30 days it will expire(no affect on the account) and you will need to request for a new PAC Code.

Also don't forget to cancel any recurring goodybag settings or automated top-ups and remove your payment-card details from your payment details page here http://www.giffgaff.com/profile/payment-details to avoid any future charges e.g. recurring goodybag.
