Paypal blocked by giffgaff

Hello. Recently been informed by PayPal that my account was blocked by giffgaff reporting an illegal transaction. Completely confused. I have 2 accounts with you one is paid via PayPal one via debit card. Please can you confirm if there is a problem.

Agents can take up to 24 hours to reply but are normally quite quick. Any reply can be found here:

Please log into your paypal account via your normal log in, do not click links in emails or texts.

I had a similar (fake) message a few days ago, logged into my paypal via the portal,  nothing amiss with my account.

Didn't actually answer my question. I pay my monthly account on PayPal. PayPal suspended my account due to 'an illegal transaction' this was found to be reported by Giffgaff. It has taken a week to resolve the issue with PayPal. I had a message from Giffgaff apologising for difficulty topping up. I still need to know why my normal monthly payment was reported by giffgaff as illegal. Incidentally I reported this to Giffgaff in the hope that they would help resolve the issue with PayPal, because they ignored the point I had to take the long way round with PayPal and submit passport etc.

Unfortunately, nobody here would have access to that information as we're regular users like yourself and account issues can only be dealt with by agents, but since you aren't happy with what has happened you can escalate it further by sending an email to complaints(at)giffgaff(dot)com for which a response will come within 5 days.
