Only thing I can help you with is
Wait over next 5 months see if it improves or goto another provider (as it's only giffgaff who has this issue so even moving to another o2 reseller provider will get best effort speeds)

As stated, when asking others for help, a polite manner is always helpful. People who are genuinely interested in helping (not "payback hunters" ) will probably be more inclined to try to assist. Smiley Happy

hi there if you contact the agent they can help and solve the problem for you but they can take up to 24 hours or more to reply back

Its OK they won't help as they just copy paste standard response witch is not the problem (normally) witch is a capacity issue at giffgaff end (not o2)

I travel the country alot, and wouldn't consider using giffgaff for my data. I have a EE mifi, and tether to it from my phone when needed. o2 havent invested the money in the infrastructure that is needed, leaving a below par service which is too far behind, and no indication of the future 4g updates. Its generally poor, and I would either lower expectations or move to another network..

try and make sure that your ram is low by disabling some apps that might be running
