Poor signal indoors

Since I moved to Wakefield from Leeds my signal has been very poor or non existent indoors is there a fix that can be used

Hi

It may be the walls are to thick to get a signal you should all so try the sim card in a new phone to make sure it is not the phone that can not pick up a signal inside

But Try a Restart/Reboot/Reset, A quick restart and/or a reboot of the device can help you get reception on your phone. Also you could remove your sim and give it a wipe with a clean cloth, then reinsert it and make sure mobile data is turned on in the phone settings

If still not working check the link below to check if there are any network issues in your area or outages with the nework signal where you are

If network signal is fine you can try manual roam to see if that helps

Airplane/Offline Mode
Turning the device into airplane/offline mode and back into normal mode can, a lot of the time, get you a bar or two of reception in bad coverage areas but also full reception if it just a temporary network issue!

First, try rebooting your phone. If you still have issues then check if there is network maintenance going on by going to  https://status.o2.co.uk/

Being in Wakey has nowt to do with it,works alright for me.

Too thick is probably your problem them walls round there are very solid

It's likely you are simply in an area with a low signal level. I have the same problem......10 feet outside of my front door, perfect, solid signal...inside the house, virtually no signal at all. A fact of life I'm afraid.

Hi all

 

  • Thank you very much for your responses. I don't have a problem with internet just with calls and texts. Tried everything suggested but nothing has worked  the house is new build so walls are not thick. Unfirtunately, may have to change service provider.

Restart your phone..that sometimes helps..
Maybe its the signal in your area thats causing the problem..
