Problems adding a GiffGaff access point.

Hi folks. Just bought a phone which uses Android 7.0.  When i go to stick giffgaff settings in, it has no "ADD" facility, just one for "edit access point."  If i "edit" the access point, will i loise the settings i already have?  I want both, so how would i go about adding the giffgaff settings on this version of android without losing what i have?

If yours is a phone that doesn't let you create a new APN then simply edit the O2 pay & go settings. Replace the O2 content with the following:

APN: giffgaff.com
Proxy: Not set
Port: Not Set
Username: giffgaff
Password: [leave blank]
Server: Not set
MMSC: http://mmsc.mediamessaging.co.uk:8002
MMS proxy: 82.132.254.1
MMS port: 8080
MCC: 234
MNC: 10
Authentication Type: "PAP or CHAP"
APN type: default,supl,mms
APN protocol: IPv4
APN roaming protocol: IPv4
Bearer: Unspecified
MVNO type: IMSI
MVNO value: 23410x

Save your new APN by pressing on the 3 dots and choosing save from the pop-out menus.

Make sure the edited APN settings are highlighted after saving them.

You should be able to setup a new APN/Data profile. You can follow this
http://community.giffgaff.com/t5/Settings-for-your-device/Guide-Android-Phones/ta-p/3521671 fantastic guide to manually set-up your Android based device with the correct APN/Data settings.

Or, if you have a active WiFi connection, install and run the giffgaff app from the Play Store to automaticaly populate the APN/Data settings https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.giffgaffmobile.controller

Hi there. I got down as far as putting in the mmsc and when i clocked ok, it went grey and now won't alow me to continue, or edit any of the others.

What phone do you have?

See if you can do the following:

• From the APN list: 'Menu -> Reset to default'
• Delete all the APNs, go into each one and select 'Menu -> Delete'
• Create only the giffgaff APN from scratch, and 'Menu -> Save'

The correct giffgaff APN is required to use mobile data abroad. This applies anywhere (not just in Europe)

The bare minimum giffgaff APNs are usually:
APN: giffgaff.com
Username: giffgaff
Password: {Leave Blank}
Proxy: {Leave Blank}
MCC: 234
MNC: 10

Ignore anything else for now. Remember to save the APN after you created it.

Finally ensure mobile data is turned on!

Excellent! Returning to default and starting again has done the trick and my phone appears to be set up for giff gaff now. Thank you very much for your assistance.

Guys, try to activate a new sim but the classic settings are not working at all on my wiko phone. There is a sms number or something similar where to request?
