I don't quite understand what you mean. Are you trying to change over your number from a previous provider ie. EE, Vodahone etc & trying to keep the same mobile number? If you are you must make sure your phone is unlocked & ask that provider for your PUK code. Then do a SIM Swap.
This information will help you:
TRANSFERING PHONE NUMBER FROM OLD SUPPLIER TO GIFFGAFF:
First thing is to make sure your phone is unlocked & you have your PAC code from your previous supplier.

For the complete guide on the number transfer process on giffgaff please click on this link: http://community.giffgaff.com/t5/Getting-started/How-do-I-keep-my-current-mobile-number/ta-p/3521127
**PLEASE NOTE: if you start a new SIM after 5pm on a Friday evening the transfer will not take place until Monday morning.
For info. you can now buy Giffgaff SIM's with credit in Tesco, Asda & Sainburys.

Hi there, are you saying your current giffgaff sim is broken and you need to do a sim swap?
If so, unless anyone on here comes forward to offer to post one out - you wouldn't get it till Monday at the earliest anyway, you could just pick one up from a store, like Poundland / Tesco

Hi @marlena2284

You can order a new sim using this link https://giffgaff.com/orders/mgm

You should recieve your sim in 2 business days (or next business day if ordered before 5.00pm but you should allow upto 7 days during busy times of the year.

You could pop into your local superstore who should sell giffgaff sims. I think they are £1

Once you have your sim then all you need to do is a simple simswap, See this link with all the info you need about performing a simswap https://community.giffgaff.com/t5/Using-giffgaff/What-is-SIM-Swap/ta-p/7320084

Hi @marlena2284,

The best way to determine if the SIM is at fault is to either try it in another device, or perform a "SIM Swap", which will transfer your number and goodybag to a new SIM card.
For a SIM swap, you will need a new SIM card - these can be bought from any shop that sells SIM cards, e.g. supermarkets, mini markets, convenience stores, mobile phone repair shops, petrol stations, etc. It should cost no more than £1.
Or you can order one from your order page, at https://giffgaff.com/orders/mgm, which will be delivered free from Giffgaff, but will take a couple of working days to arrive. So going for the shop based SIM is the best option if you need it in a hurry.

Once you have your new SIM, you can carry out the SIM swap by making sure that you are logged into the correct account, then going to your dashboard at https://giffgaff.com/profile/details. From there you will see various options, scroll down to the part that says "replace my SIM". By clicking on the drop down arrow next to "replace my SIM", it will guide you through the process.
Note that a SIM Swap cannot be carried out between the hours of 9.30pm and 4.30am.
Also note that contacts will not be transferred across - if you had any contacts on the SIM (before the SIM stopped working), hopefully you'll have backed them up to another source (such as on the phone, or on a cloud account).

Regards TITA

@marlena2284

If you want to arrange hand delivery, it would be useful to know your rough location, but don't post your full address on a public forum.

I'm currently in Bath, by the way.

Good luck!

(Actually, this phone that I'm using claims to be waterproof, but I don't think I want to put it to the test!)
