Just been contacted by company called Digitaun, saying working with O2 to refund charges taken due to a technical error in the system. Given a long "voucher" number to be keyed in following dialling 4444.

Does anyone know if this is legitimate?

Brian

Firstly, if you are a giffgaff customer, then 02 would not refund anything to you in anyway.
Only giffgaff will contact you.
Calling 4444 from your giffgaff will not take you to the top up line or allow you to use a voucher.
The number that giffgaff use to redeem a voucher code is 43430.
If you call 4444 you may be charged at a premium rate.

Of course if you are an 02 customer, than things may be different, but you should be using an 02 forum instead.
If you call 4444 from an 02 phone and enter the refund voucher code you have been given, than no harm can come to you, as either a credit will be applied to your account, or you will be told that the code is invalid.

Please explain to us if you are a giffgaff customer or not, and advise why you think that 02 would in anyway involve themselves with you as a giffgaff customer. They have no access to your account, unlike giffgaff who would apply any refunds directly to you.

Thanks for the posts. Rang the number, and got the same explanation that it was a refund from O2, for incorrect charges. Web site looks legit, but that's easy to fake. Trying O2.
