Had a little trip to Bruges this week and was suprised how quickly my £5 credit disappeared. Was very careful with it but now i'm thinking the £1.50 rate could be per connection??

What are the segments that GG charge by? As soon as you connect is that counted as 1MB  up to the point you have actually downloaded the full MB...then it jumps to the 2MB price??

This is quite important as it may be worth just leaving your data connected if it's low use rather than connecting and dissconnecting several times esp if it's 1MB per connection.

Just checked the trip advisor website comes in at 1.32mb.

Some phones/browsers can be configured to only download txt to save space. There are also browsers that compress server site to save space

Trip advisor for 20 seconds, £1.50, really?

There must be a segment charge.

Is that all your phone is doing though. If its a smart phone once you switch your 3G on apps will suck data down of you haven't stopped them. Email etc

booyar,

Ahh ok I guess trip advisor used it all then!

Was very careful to make sure everything else was off and only using the data service on my current activity.

I still wonder what is the smallest amount of data that can be charged though.
