my phone suddenly stopped working, says out going calls not available whilst call barring active and no data. Just logged on to my account by wifi and Giffgaff page says I don't have an active sim. I've not cancelled my goody bag etc and was in credit etc etc. How do I get Giffgaff to re activate my SIM? this is a business phone as well as my personal phone so very important.

Thanks

@carlporter76
Hi, Can you call 443?

It appears as though your services have been barred

This will happen as a result of the way you've been sending texts
Have you sent any bulk /group texts?

You'll need to contact an agent to remove the temporary bar and agree to terms and conditions

Click /log in here

https://support2.giffgaff.com/app/ask/Calls-texts-and-data/Calls-texts-arent-working/form/
(if you see a you're not allowed to access this page message, log out first Http://giffgaff.com/auth/logout)

In the box provided say you've been advised by the community that your services have been barred for sms abuse

Explain that you weren't aware of the term and conditions and you won't repeat the act
And ask for your services to be restored

Hi @carlporter76

Please check the signal in your area, simply follow this link https://giffgaff.com/coverage-and-service to check either the network status or coverage. The network status should give you details of any local issues, including planned work, as well as showing signal strength (2G, 3G & 4G) & outages.

Please remember that the website is updated hourly and may not display any issues at the current moment.

If the signal looks all good, you also try performing a manual roam by following this http://community.giffgaff.com/t5/Using-giffgaff/Force-the-change-of-SMS-settings/ta-p/4871794 guide that allows you to select the network manually.

Please try reconnecting by switching "Flight mode" On and back Off ("Settings" > "Flight mode"). This resets the active connection.

If you’re still having problems, then you can try turning your device off for a couple of minutes and on again to see if that helps.

When login Are you sure your logged into the correct account? You can start by texting the word NAME to 43430 and you will receive text message back with your correct username

Otherwise you can follow this http://giffgaff.com/auth/logout link to logout from your account and follow this http://giffgaff.com/dashboard link to login but this time in the membername input box put your mobile number instead of a username and password in the second input box and login again.

Once logged in you should the correct username and your mobile number on your dashboard.

@carlporter76
Sorry I don't, giffgaff don't reveal that information,

All I can advise is that you don't send group texts of any number even if its just 10

Hi @carlporter76

Unfortunately, in the T&C, giffgaff state that the service is for personal use only,

not for business use...

If you send a lot of text messages (even if it says "unlimited", there are conditions),

giffgaff might flag your account and possibly bar its further use.

Great giffgaff international rates (from Airtime Credit, and goody bags in EU)
