Just activated my GiffGaff SIM and put it into t-mobile Pulse (Android) handset.

Phone comes up with this message:

"SIM network unlock PIN"

I don't know what to input.

you need to contact T-mobile and ask them for the network unlock code (which they may charge for) or take the phone to a market or phone shop and ask them to unlock it

If T-Mobile can not give you the code instantly or want too much money, you can also get them from third parties.
I recently paid £17 for an unlock code from a seller on eBay. I got the code within 5 mins of paying from the seller.
Voda wanted £20 and stated it would take atleast a week to get the code from HTC.

You'll need a subsidy PIN to unlock the phone. To obtain a subsidy PIN, please call t-mobile on 0845 412 5000 (2p/minute)
