I have a few ideas to mind:

Have you tried to enter the APN settings again?

Try and connect to wifi and download the giffgaff apn app from Play Store.

You can then set up the APN by following the instructions and copying and pasting the info into the relevant fields.

Where was the phone purchased from?

Another issue could be that maybe the IMEI might be blocked due to the original owner reporting it lost or stolen?

Have you tried another sim in the phone to test if calls, texts and data work ok?

I hope this helps mate.

Good luck

It takes around 10 minutes for the new sim to become active so if your still waiting after this time contact an agent to help.

It can still take some time after the number appears on mygiffgaff for the sim swap to go through. If its not complete after 24 hours then contact an agent by filling out the online form here:

Is your signal ok? Check here for any ongoing issues with the network in your area

Otherwise try rebooting your phone. It can be fixed that way sometimes. Or you can do a manual roam. See here for instructions

If that doesn't work, turn your phone off, remove your sim altogether and wait a couple of seconds and put back in and switch it on again to see if it fixes it.

Try the following steps

1) Turn your handset off and turn it back on again

2) Check to see if there are any outages in the mobile network where you are by entering your postcode

If you find that there are no issues with the signal you can try manual roaming-

Swapped the SIM about 4 pm yesterday

Turned on and off loads SIM out. The works.

Phone is unlocked, no outages, get coverage.

I'll try the manual roaming now.

Thanks for suggestions guys

It may need more time for it to take place. Be more patient. Also check if the phone is unlocked.
