Hi all,

 

Hoping you can help me with my £600 ornament that is my shiny new iPhone 5s. The agents, bless them, sometimes take ages to respond.

 

Trying to do a SIM swap. Keep getting the message that the SIM cannot be activated at the moment.

 

New giffgaff SIM that cam with the phone. I'be tried the activation both logged in or out of my giffgaff acount.

 

I also tried the 19-digit method - same result.

 

Any ideas?

Hi Steve the error is nearly always because you're using a sim older than 6 months old
You can't perform a sim swap these sims although they'll be fine to activate on a new account

You'll need to order a new sim

Go through the process using a different browser,eg,firefox,chrome,etc.

Try clearing your cache and browser history , and then trying again or use a different browser it should work

Is one of the sims actually active to begin with?

Deleted history and cache. Tried Firefox and Chrome.

 

Can't new SIM activated, so can't even get to the stage of telling it I already have an account I want to SIM swap with.

I'm having the same issue and waiting for an agent to contact me.  I've tried all of these suggestions except for ordering a new sim as in my mind it should just work when you get it out of the box.  No other suggestions on my feed either but if I see one I'll let you know. Can you do likewise
