Just joined Giff Gaff but now my sim has been activated and my number transferred over I can't seem to send SMS messages on my Galaxy S7 ("failed to send" error message).

I've tried the "roaming" solution but my phone never finds any alternative networks, the spinning icon just eventually stops and it goes back to the previous Settings page.

Any ideas?

@owen26345 try a soft reset by holding down the power button and up and down volume button at same time until phone reboots its self and see if works then

Also double check your settings are correctly entered as shown here

SETTINGS . . . . . . . these settings will fully explain how to set up your internet an mms on your device they include settings for. . Iphones ..tablets . .blackberry . .nokia ect . . check all 6 pages of settings .

or if you have an android phone you may want to try here for settings which would help

Holding the power, up & down buttons doesnt do anything on my phone, except turn it from vibrate to sound modes. I have restarted my phone a number of times though by holding the power button and selecting restart.

Yes, I've now checked all the network settings as and they were all set as they should be.

Yes, I've got the giffgaff app on my phone, you don't say how this will help though...

Hi, are you currently in the UK or abroad?
Is everything else working?

Can you send texts to these numbers
Your own number from
Zero followed by ten 7,s
+44 followed by ten 7,s

Switch your phone off and remove the sim
Wipe the sim contacts with a dry cloth
Wait 5 minutes
And replace

And try texts to those numbers again, and then try to your contacts

Try resetting the Network settings and then shut the phone down for a few mins and then restart it,
