Just joined Giff Gaff but now my sim has been activated and my number transferred over I can't seem to send SMS messages on my Galaxy S7 ("failed to send" error message).
I've tried the "roaming" solution but my phone never finds any alternative networks, the spinning icon just eventually stops and it goes back to the previous Settings page.
@owen26345 try a soft reset by holding down the power button and up and down volume button at same time until phone reboots its self and see if works then
Also double check your settings are correctly entered as shown here

Holding the power, up & down buttons doesnt do anything on my phone, except turn it from vibrate to sound modes. I have restarted my phone a number of times though by holding the power button and selecting restart.
Yes, I've now checked all the network settings as and they were all set as they should be.
Yes, I've got the giffgaff app on my phone, you don't say how this will help though...
Try resetting the Network settings and then shut the phone down for a few mins and then restart it,
