I just got a Samsung Galaxy S3 today from Carphone Warehouse and placed my micro sim into the phone but the phone doesn't seem to be able to recognize it. I cut my microsim myself but I followed the template and didn't touch the golden chip part. I've done this a few times for a few of my friends iPhone 4S and never had a problem so I doubt it's the microsim size problem.

Is it possible that the phone is locked to a network?

Cheers

Cpw white galaxy s3 is locked to any network .

If it was locked it Would say invalid sim.

Just to confirm all Cpw s3 are factory unlocked with no logo .

You better get replacement sim .
Report sim lost and stolen ... You would be sent out replacement sim with 1st call post..

All credit and allowance would be transferred as well..

giffgaff now send out hybrid sims, which contain both a mini and micro sim that you can pop out.

Is this the only sim that's been put in this phone to your knowledge?
