Samsung a40 problems - cant hear calls

Hoping one of you can help pls.

Has anyone else had problems with using a Samsung a40 phone on giffgaff? 

I'm unable to hear calls via the earpiece. I've been through all troubleshooting steps with samsung directly, who have sent me a replacement phone. But this one isn't working either.

I previously had an iPhone on giffgaff and it was fine. 

Have also transferred to new sim to rule out that issue.

Does the sound come through when you use it hands free? (loud speaker) Dial 43430 and use loud speaker to test it

Sounds like a faulty handset, have u tried another SIM in the phone from a different network. I would try your SIM in a friend's phone, if it all works then it sounds like an issue with your handsets.


If the price problem follows to your friends phone I would order another SIM and perform the SIM swap procedure.
