Service checker shows mast down in area of TW18. This has meant extremely unpredictable and flaky service for greater than 3weeks.

When can we start expecting satisfactory service to resume here please??

@cymro76, hi there, please check your signal in your area
If the signal in your area is working as normal, then try a manual roam to update, and refresh your network connection.

Must be one hell of a fault as most London masts are backup and running in a few hours.

THat said we had an O2 mast out for almost three months locally (in Ealing) as there were horrendous power supply problems and the power contractors seemed to moved slower than a sloth on Prozac.

Sadly, all one can do is wait. it is not in O2's interest to have a mast not earning revenue so they will be 'on it' although progress may be slow.

Hi, only o2 knows when they will fix the mast. Our local mast was down for over 4 weeks not long ago so i know how frustrating it can be

I spoke with O2 Customer Services this pm. Apparently they are aware of this issue. Did NOT know how long it has been down.....and had zero idea when it will be back up as handed to third party engineers to repair.

Money well spent there I'm thinking.

Third party engineers might mean the electricity distribution company (quasi monopoly) or BT Openreach (who typically provide the connections to the mast). These guys operate on their own schedule, and if they need to dig up the highway that is normal a 7 day notification periods

What is the message you get, does it say they are upgrading the mast ?
