My phone keeps saying searching! I've tried turning it off and on, taking out my sim, I turned the airplane mode off and on, I even reset the network settings...nothing's working! My wifi is working fine and so is my actual phone. I think it has something to do with my carrier. I don't want to get another sim because I just topped up a few days so my goodbag will go if I get a different sim. This is so annoying and I don't know what else to do.

@mahima_malek

Does the goodybag show as active on your account page?  https://giffgaff.com/dashboard

Check that first.

Is the sim definitely in the phone correct way up?

If you suspect the sim is faulty, you can perform a sim swap - https://community.giffgaff.com/t5/Using-giffgaff/What-is-SIM-Swap/ta-p/7320084

You would not lose your goodybag in that case.

@mahima_malek

So, you've checked the service in your area, now what?

Well, if it has displayed an issue with your area then you just have to sit tight. Mast problems get sorted by engineers, so they will go back to normal soon. If it displays poor signal in your area due to lack of masts then I'm afraid that there is nothing that can be done.

The goodbye is active and I have ensured that the sim is correctly placed. I think I might try out the sim swap. Hopefully it should work. Thank you very much!!
