Sim Swap for Huwawei P20 Lite

Hi,

I have just bought a Huwawei P20 Lite and my giffgaff sim card doesn't fit in to it as it is old.

I have just ordered sim swap. I see the swim swap page says one size fits all. Will the new sim card giffgaff send me for sim swap fit this particular phone?

I have already "asked an agent" but I am impatient and thought I'lll see if anyobody in the community has had similar issues. 

I checked with a few shops in our neighbourhood that do phones and while one of them said they don't have the machinbe to cut sim cards to make them smaller, others flatly refused. I then went to Carphone Warehouse and was told not to cut the sim card and it turns out that this is also mentioned in the phone's manual. 

Do you think the new sim card giffgaff send me will fit?

@emmanuelray hi there - Yes, All SIMs now shipped by giffgaff are 3 in 1 made up of a Standard , Micro and Nano. If you wish to form a Micro or Nano size SIM all you will need to do is pop out the middle of the SIM as show below. 

 

When your new SIM arrives perform the SIM swap. The SIM swap process will transfer your current number and allowances e.g. goodybag and/or airtime credit over to the new SIM. The process should take no more than 30 minutes to complete and can be performed anytime between 4.30am and 9.30pm

@emmanuelray Just order a new sim http://giffgaff.com/orders/mgm or purchase from local shop 
All sims are now 3 sizes in one. Just push out centre and use cardboard cutouts for larger sizes. After that just do a http://community.giffgaff.com/t5/Using-giffgaff/What-is-SIM-Swap/ta-p/7320084
This will transfer number and any credit to the new sim

Thank you so much. I had no idea I could purchase a giffgaff sim from a local shop. Might just do that. Or just wait for the sim I oredered from giffgaff sim swap to arrive.

@emmanuelray  I can suggest you to get from Poundland, Sainsbury, Tesco which is quickest.

Remember NOT to activate the new Sim.The SimSwap process does this and needs a Blank unused Sim.

Oh NO! I think I may have activated it! Not sure thought. this whole process is too much for me. I'm not used to things being this complicated, But the last thing on Giffgaff dashboard said "we are activating your sim" and I followed all the instructions step by step so it should be ok now, I hope!
