Sim activation

I received new sim as lost phone and needed same number. Have put the code in after failing to provide password for my account two times and think this may of caused me issues with activating as I clicked off the page and opened new tab. Have researched as much as I could to no avail. Please help

So you lost your phone and sim and was sent a replacement sim which failed to activate?
if so please contact an agent as replacement sims also include your details and any goodybag balances etc

Activating a replacement SIM
Allow up to 24 hrs for a response. Agents work 7 days a week from 8am to 11pm.

If you reported the sim lost giffgaff should have sent you a replacement sim with your account and number on and instructions how to power it up . It goes like this

If you have simply obtained a new sim you need to sim swap  Go to your dashboard and then help /sim swap and follow the instructions. Enter the ID of the new sim in the box and on the next page reject your old sim  Your account and number will be transferred to the new sim in about an hour. See here

I would clear the cache on your browser to start with. Go to the top right hand corner and find settings  On chrome it's settings /tools /history and clear cache  Now try again

With your new SIM, to keep your same mobile number & any Credit you have on your account, you will need to do a 'SIM Swap'.
The best thing for you to do is contact an agent.
Click on this link & they will help you sort out your SIM problem, also ask them to put a stop on your lost phone.

The easiest thing is to ask an agent & you will get a private answer within 24 hours - usually 3-5 hours. If there are any problems or stop on your phone, they will be able to unlock it & advise you what to do. You will get the answer online in your account > My Messages on your Homepage/Dashboard.

HOW TO DO A SIM SWAP: allowing you to keep your number & Outstanding Goodybags/Airtime.
If you're already a member, a SIM swap will let you use a different SIM if yours is the wrong size, missing or faulty. Enter the code from your new SIM and click 'Activate your SIM'. On the next screen, log in with your giffgaff member name or phone number.
Allow 24hrs for new SIM to activate (usually 30 mins)
switch phone off & on again.
When activated you will see 'Giffgaff' in top Left hand corner. Any problems click on this link:
