So I have been with giffgaff for awhile now. And I randomly got a text saying " Team giffgaff here. Your request to transfer this phone number to your new giffgaff SIM is underway. If you didn't do this click the link to log in and follow the steps immediately." so I clicked the link as this was not me who requested it and got up to putting my bank details in and the screen went blank as if it had not registered. So I tryed a few times and did not work. I also have messaged an agent but got no reply. This happened at roughly 8am this morning. My goody bag has stopped and the sim is not not registered. Is there anything I can do? I really do need to my phone to work.

If you have received a phishing/smishing link/text, there are a few things you need to do as a matter of urgency:

1. Change your giffgaff password using this link -https://giffgaff.com/profile/details#passwd

Further to that, if you suspect your account may have been compromised:

 2. Contact our agents via this link who can advise with you with the relevant steps to take to safeguard your account:https://support2.giffgaff.com/app/ask/Account-misuse-and-security-issues/Account-misuse-and-security...

3. If you suspect your bank details may have been compromised as a result, alert your bank as soon as possible

DO NOT repost the website link that may have been in the text message or fake Emails. If this info is needed then our agents will ask you for it via person message.

I got a text also from giffgaff "Hi. Just a quick update to let you know your request to transfer your number to your new giffgaff SIM is underway. It should be completed within 24 hours. If this wasn't you, please raise a case with a giffgaff agent here: giff.ly/2DEItsv" shortly after I can't call or text or use my 4g. I've had no phone all day. Can only use WiFi.
