@noorm60
Hi you need to perform a proccess called a sim swap this will enable you to retain all account details (number, balance, goodybag)
Only the sim will change

If you don't have a spare sim, order a (free) one now
Http://giffgaff.com/orders/mgm
Or
obtain from a nearby store several stock them including Tesco, Sainsbury's and argos cost is a £1 or less

Before you perform the sim swap back up your contacts if they're saved to the sim
And
Place the sim on the phone
Or should show a signal and show the words
"not active"
On the phone screen when you dial *100#
When you've completed thise checks

Its then important to log into your old account
Log into your my giffgaff page
Http://giffgaff.com/dashboard
Check you're in the correct account
(important if you have several accounts or manage accounts for others)

If you've forgot your username, try logging in with your old number, if the log in details don't work

Ask for a password reset link here

Using your old number

Then click here
Http://giffgaff.com/activate

Input the 6 digit activation code from the new sim in the box provided and
click the yellow activate your sim button

On the next page headed "SIM replacement "
click the yellow button
"yes I want to replace my sim"

On the next page headed "SIM replace"
click the yellow button
"yes I'm sure"

Your new sim will usually start working within 30 minutes
(switch your phone off and on every 10 minutes or so)

If you've activated a new sim  on a second account, you can ask an agent to cancel that and receive a refund in the first 14 days

hi @noorm60

You cannot transfer numbers / credit between active SIM cards

Click here to get this new SIM refunded: https://giffgaff.com/support/about-giffgaff/right-to-cancel

To recover your original number you will need to order another SIM card: https://giffgaff.com/orders/free-sim

When the SIM arrives, do NOT create another new giffgaff account.

You must log into your OLD existing giffgaff account (the account associated with the number you wish to retain). If you can't remember the old account details, click here: https://giffgaff.com/support/lost-password
Enter your mobile number in the field, and choose to send your password reset link by email.

Once you are logged into the correct giffgaff account and have the new SIM, then follow the 'SIM swap' instructions: https://community.giffgaff.com/t5/Using-giffgaff/What-is-SIM-Swap/ta-p/7320084

Your existing goodybag, credit, and original number will all get transferred to this new SIM.
