IrderOr a new sim but when I enter the activation code it tells me that this is not the sim they sent me .Plx help.

Sim swap can only be done between the hours of 04.30am and 9.30pm.

If you reported your sim as lost/stolen then you can not order a sim and activate it.
They will send one in the post to you separately which will be in different packaging clearly saying it is the replacement for the lost one.


If you don't think this answers your question please reply with more details about what you are trying to do and why you ordered a sim and why you are trying to activate it.

If so, did you receive a replacement sim in a package with oops written on it as below 👇

Hi  @sanya69

 

If reported sim lost or mobile and sim then giffgaff auto sends a replacement sim to link to account that must link this sim first to account before can with any other sim have or ordered that wont need to once the replacement sim been linked to account.

 

If did not report sim lost then can sim swap on any sim unactivated current to account >> https://community.giffgaff.com/t5/Using-giffgaff/What-is-SIM-Swap/ta-p/7320084

 

To any done above will replace the sim have linked for a new sim and number stays as is now and bag/credit been using and don't need to add a bag or credit till need.

And any new sim link to account can be anytime with in 24 hrs for sim to be ready to use.

If you had reported your sim as lost or stolen, then a replacement sim with the same number would have been sent out to you, and this would be the only sim that can be activated on your account.

SIM Swap allows you to transfer your giffgaff phone number to a brand new SIM card including existing goodybags / gigabags and airtime credit.
SIM Swap is only available between 4:30 AM and 9:30 PM
To perform a SIM Swap:
• Back-up any contacts, texts and other data saved on your current SIM to your phone memory or PC, as this cannot be transferred through SIM Swap.
• Login and go to the Replace your SIM section of your account and click on Activate your SIM

@headcases I reported my sim stolen. Tried to activate the replacement sim. Entered the activation code and then it led me to "select your goodybag section". After that I clicked confirm account but the next page sais that an error had occurred although they charged me for the goodybag I selected. Now I try to do it again, it just says enter the activation code of the sim we sent you and not this one.
