Phone still not getting a service 

giffgaff icon and signal showing but can’t send texts or make calls

that's over 30 hours now and I really need to get phone working

anything I can do vis a vis phone?

its an iPhone 6 Plus, brand new

Have you restarted the phone yet?

Are you in the uk?


Do you have credit or a goodybag?


call 43430 and choose option 2 (buy a goodybag) and listen to your up to date balances. (you dont have to buy a goodybag choosing option 2)


What does it say ?

Sorry to hear that.  Since it's been more than 24 hours Click, here for assistance often reply within 4 hours most cases but can take up to 24 hours in busy periods. They do work 7 days a week from 8am to 11pm.

I transferred sim and it worked within an hour.check settings

Hi, Has your sim suddenly stopped working,
Or has it failed to work since....
You activated a replacement sim
Or performed a sim swap
Or transferred a number to giffgaff?

Can you see your number, balance and goodybag here

Can you see signal bars and a connection symbol
(3G, 4G, H, E, gprs)
At the top of the phone?

From your phone keypad dial *100*7# and press call
Do the same with *100#
(repeat those a few times)
What word or words do you see on the phone screen?

Can you call these numbers
And 111

New SIM card swap to get smaller sim to fit iPhone 6 Plus 

Can see goody bag  etc

 signal bars and giffgaff

says not active

Go to settings
Look at the number on ICCID
And Jot that down carefully on some paper,
Then double check it
there should be 19 digits starting 894411

Log in here
Then click
Put that 19 digit number in the box provided
And click the yellow activate your sim button

Does it say the sim is already active
Does it say
"sim swap isn't possible between 9.30pm and 4.30am" ?

If it says the latter, you need to complete a sim swap with the 19 digit sim serial number tommorrow

Once you repeat the initial steps tommorrow,
You'll arrive at a sim replacement page

Click the yellow button
"Yes I want to swap my sim"

On the next page click the yellow button
"yes I'm sure"

Your sim will usually start within 30 minutes
(switch your phone off and on every 10 minutes or so)
