Slow data on £25 always on

Hi I am on the £25 always on data and I have used just over 13gb with 1 day left on my goody bag. I am going to switch to the £20 for 20gb tonight before it recurs to the £25 always on.

 

My main complaint is that I am on just over 13gb of data used with 1 day left and my data speeds have been extremely slow for the past week or two and I use the iPhone X. I understand traffic flow is supposed to kick in after 20gb used but I am only on 13gb. What is happening to my data speed? Will this still happen when I go down a plan to the £20 20gb plan? This is very inconvenient for me as my data is the most important thing about the goody bag plan and these speeds are making it less than useless. Browser pages are very slow to load. Videos are non existent. Please help. Is there something I need to change in the settings or are there new and different rules for speed restrictions?

Hello if you only used 13gb there will be no difference to speed to any other goodybag

you need to do some checks 

first put postcode here check for mast problems https://giffgaff.com/coverage-and-service#coverage

also check APN if wrong insert

If none of that improves it congestion on the network could be the problem and there is nothing you can do if that’s the case

Your data speed is throttled after you've used 20GB, but your data speed may be slowed at any time due to network congestion.

 

You are probably too late to change your goodybag if it expires tonight - changes must be done before 19:30.

Hi , thanks for help. I have been trying all of those instructions and they don’t seem to have worked. I have started a new goody bag going from £25 unlimited to £20 20gb and I can say the speed is terrible. I used to be able to watch netflix on my phone and have fast safari browser page openings , now Netflix doesn’t work and browsers are so slow pages can take up to a minute or more to open. I wish it wasn’t the case but it is. I use iPhone X . I don’t know what is wrong. I will try and test speeds after midnight to see if it suddenly comes to life off peak. My WiFi is also much faster when connected. Will keep you updated.

if it’s conjestion the speed will increase in night as members tend to go to bed 

like I said before changing goodybags solves nothing
