Hi, my husband and I have just moved house and pur broadband provider cant connect our new property until the end of next week so my husband started using his phone to hotspot to our TV so we could watch Netflix in bed, he has the £25 goodie bag and has only been doing this each night for a few days but he got a txt this morning advising he would get slower internet during the day as a result. It's not just during the day he can hardly use any of the always on data he has paid for because his connection is so slow even now at quarter to one in the morning he can't watch a movie on Netflix because the connection isn't fast enough to play it. Is there anything we can do?

IT IS NOT A SETTINGS ISSUE SO PLEASE DONT SEND ME A LINK FOR THE GIFFGAFF INTERNET SETTINGS!!!

The £25 Always On goodybag does have a data restriction after 20GB of data is used.  This is explained by clicking morre info on £25 goodybag on here https://giffgaff.com/sim-only-plans I have cut and paste section relevant here:

The £25 Always on goodybag only allows 20GB of tetherable data at full speed.  Once this has been used, then Traffic Flow Policy then comes into place and you may get a far lower speed for tethering purposes https://community.giffgaff.com/t5/Using-giffgaff/Guide-to-the-25-Always-On-goodybag/ta-p/17070641

Try a phone restart to see if this does help in anyway, but if tethering, then I think the speed will be slower.  Once restarted the phone, it the speed quicker at all when tethering is switched fully off?  IF not, then I would message an agent to find out why continuous slow speed (even when not tethering).  Use this link https://support2.giffgaff.com/app/ask/Calls-texts-and-data/Data-is-slow/form/ and explain your issue clearly, including if tethering or not.  An agent will aim to reply within 24 hours, often quicker.  You will get email once a reply is received and will see your query and agent reply here https://giffgaff.com/support/questions

Have you tried restarting your phone turning it fully off then back on this usually helps with the speed issues after 12am

Order a SIM to join Giffgaff and you'll get £5 extra credit when you activate with £10 or more.

Try restarting the phone at night after the restriction a few times to kick start it.
