My battery has suddenly started dropping for no apparent reason and then takes ages to recharge.  Had the phone about a year.  Can anyone help please?

Hello one likely problem is that the battery needs a check/needs to be re-calibrated. As it might be calibrating itself, this is hence why it drops to zero and takes ages to charge. Consider replace a new battery if you wish, or consider downloading softwares that teaches DIY battery calibration

@vivanne

Hi,

That sounds like a dead battery. Did you get the phone from giffgaff? If it was new, it will still be under warranty if less than 1 year:

However, if it was pre-owned, then afraid not!

Cheers!
