when i try to access the keep your number i get thuis message Sorry, you're not allowed to access this page.

When did you activate your SIM? The giffgaff SIM must be activated first ( payment is required ), and given time to fully complete. You can't request to transfer your number in until then. You will need a PAC code from your previous provider.

In practice, I think it's worth waiting for 24 hours after activation before porting in anyway. You can check calls, texts, reception etc are all ok before committing yourself.

sim will need to be fully active for the transfer of number to work when giffgaff number shows on site then should be able to fill in info. if number is showing and still cant enter info then try another browser and try

You can access this as soon as your SIM is fully active. You'll need to make a £10 top-up or buy a goodybag for this to happen, and from the time you pay it takes up to 24 hours (although usually it's less than an hour).

Is your sim fully activated?

Activations can take between 30 minutes and 24 hours to complete, when the activation is fully completed under your dashboard your new allocated number will be shown along with any credit or active goodybags. Once you see either of these then only will you be able to make any calls, send text , check balance or use the data.

If the activations is still not completed within the 24 hours , then you would need to raise the issue with an agent. To contact an giffgaff agent follow this link http://giffgaff.com/support/ask .

Please note agents can take up two 24 hours for a response.

Your sim needs to be fully activated before you can access that page to set up a number transfer.

It can take up to 24 hours for the sim activation to fully complete.
