My regular journey has an O2 (and Vodafone) dead spot for more than 10 miles. EE has just activated a mast to cover it. Can I get the cheapest PAYG SIM for their service and use it if in emergency I need to phone when in their space but not giffgaff’s? I would try to swap it into my iPhone, then back again when at home or wherever I can use giffgaff.

Could you buy a cheap pay as you go phone then divert calls when unreachable to the pay as you go phone?

Hi @dutyhog

Yes you are free to do whatever you want.

Unfortunately the EE sim can't have the same number as your giffgaff SIM, you would have to port your number to EE for that.

Thanks - that seems a simple way to do it. Having a different phone number isn’t important.
