TRNC coverage problem.

I am in the trnc, 2 Giffgaff phones, one connects to kktccell, the other says forbidden.

 

The one that does not work was set to barr international calling. I cleared that yesterday but it still will not connect.

Ps phone via wifi would be nice.

Are you sure the one that is not working has not been fully barred for any reason or maybe it is locked to another network. Worth checking.

Not sure, I have used this phone/sim here before.

 

Works fine in uk.

 

I have 2 sims in the phone (due to lousy uk coverage) the other sim sim connects fine.

 

Strangely I received one txt overnight I believe on the Giffgaff sim.

** MAKE SURE YOU ENABLE DATA ROAMING and ENABLED INTERNATIONAL CALLING ** make sure you turn OFF when not being used

Scroll down to check Roaming status is set on, Once set your sim will automatically connect to local service provider.

 

  1. Also ensure that you have enabled international calling here: https://giffgaff.com/call-services

Blocking this service will stop you from receiving any calls or texts while abroad. Note, you will still be able to make calls and send texts.

Roaming is on in settings, all call settings except premium calls are enabled.

Data roaming and data are disabled.

It worked briefly, but now I just get offered emergency calls only. All networks forbidden.

The guides say I must enable roaming data, I am not going to do that even for a moment.

Never have before, my wife's phone works without it.

I think the faq is wrong.
