Hi,

I've ended up with 2 GG sims both with credit on them.

I want to transfer my old number from O2 to 1 of the sims, use the credit, then transfer the number again to the 2nd GG sim. Therefore, I'll end up with just the 1 GG sim with my original number on it.

Anyone know if this is possible?

Cheers,

Tom

To transfer the gg sims you need to sim

You need to do a sim swap here is how
  1. Back-up all your contacts and texts saved on your SIM to your phone memory, as these data cannot be transfered through SIM Swap.
  2. Log out of your giffgaff account, and click "Activate SIM" on the home page.
  3. Enter the Activation code of the New SIM card.
  4. When on the account registration page, instead of registering, log in with the link in the "already registered?" section.

This is where SIM Swap starts. It will confirm that you want to swap SIMs. (You need to double check the serial numbers, just in case.)

5. After choosing "Yes" each time you are asked, your old SIM will be deactivated, and you will lose signal.

6. Put the new SIM in your phone, and it  takes around to 10 minutes  for the SIM to become active.

The best is to leave the phone turned off with the new SIM in for 10 minutes, then turning it on and off until you get signal.

7. You have completed SIM Swap! Enjoy.

Hi you can not between gg sims, so you the credit on one and tranfere the other to o2.

to bring your mobile number to giffgaff, here's what you need to do:

1. Contact your current Service Provider and request a (Port Authorisation)  code as you want to transfer (or port-out) your number to another network. PAC codes are valid for 30 days from the issue date.

2First of all Make sure your giffgaff account and SIM has been fullyactivated.

3. You must be logged in to your account.

4. Once you've been given a PAC code, click on the following link below this text providing the information: Apply here for number transfer:http://giffgaff.com/support/portin

You can  also see the full transfer guide here http://community.giffgaff.com/t5/Join-Considering-giffgaff/How-can-I-transfer-my-mobile-number-to-gi...

If you are still having difficulties after 9pm of the transfer day then click on 'submit a private question link below and be sure to include the following information:

• Existing mobile number
• New mobile number
• Alternative contact number
• PAC code (port authorisation code)

Ask an agent to sort it for you,  http://bit.ly/giffgaffagent

Please bear in mind there is no telephone contact as they can only be contacted online.

Also after submiting your message it can take up to 24hrs for a reply.
If you can not find your recieved agent messages they can be found here, Http://giffgaff.com/support/questions you must be logged in to your account to view these

You can certainly transfer the number from O2 to a GG sim. However, you cannot transfer between GG SIMs. Your only option would be to port-out from the first GG SIM to somewhere else, then port back in to the second GG SIM.

Edit: Unless SIM swap works with an already activated SIM (must read up on that)?

That's correct mate....But you wont be able to transfer credit from 1 gg sim to another...Ignore the people who say you can.
