Hi Community Members,

Earlier on I have sim swapped because the 1st SIM received from GiffGaff was not recognised by my android phone. However, the swap sim is not recognised either. Thismakes two GG sim's not identified.

The strange thing is, I used sim checker (http://microgaff.giffgaffapps.com/simchecker/) and input both the old sim and the swap sim codes. both were declared 'invalid'. But, all the while, my profile on the web tells me everything is fine.

This does not make sense.

The phone is a dual sim android device. I have another SIM in it, from the 3 network, and it works perfectly well. So the phone is not at fault.

There is a goody bag o the G sim, which will expire on May 3. Value is £12

How do I get my money back? After trying two sims and doing everything logically possible but getting no joy, I am not in the mood for trying a third one. I want my money back and I'm going to another network.

many thanks in advance

Did you try the giffgaff SIM in the other slot (the one with the 3 SIM)?

Or tried the giffgaff SIM in another unlocked or O2 phone to see if it works?

Some dual SIM phones require you to turn on the second SIM slot, do you have this option within the settings?

As for refunds, you will have to try asking an agent and present your case clearly. They take up to 24 hours to reply but usually quicker: https://giffgaff.com/support/ask

Good afternoon historylady, can we assume you phone is not locked to the 3 network?

I have followed your advice and attempted to contact an agent. However, the problem I am facing does not fit in any of the categories that one must select when trying to log a complaint with an agent.

So I'm not very hopeful.

For situations which are out of the ordinary, it is still better to have a direct telephone helpdesk.
