Unblocking a phone. (Alcatel 2008g)

My son has an Alcatel 2008g phone. The other day it asked him for his PUK code. He didn't know it, didn't tell me, and put in some random numbers....
There is now a message on his phone saying 'SIM Blocked' and there is nowhere within the menu to input the PUK code.
What do we do?

HI @jonsen79 try turning the phone off and back on to see if that prompts for the PUK.

 

If you need a PUK2 then you have to ask an agent for that by filling in this form https://support2.giffgaff.com/app/ask/SIM-and-number/Getting-a-PUK-PUK2-code/form/

 

Agents reply within 4 hours in the majority of cases but can take up to 24 hours, in the worst case, to reply (but they do work 7 days a week from 8am to 11pm). You will see when an agent has replied in the "Messages: From Agents" box which is half way down the right hand side of your "My Giffgaff" page or go here https://giffgaff.com/support/questions
