I have purchased the 10 pound deal with 2GB of downloads available.  But then within 3 hours I was informed that I needed to top up my account.   How can this happen

Hi, as you're a new customer an agent will refund all your lost credit as a one off goodwill gesture, but it'll be tommorrow morning /afternoon before they do so,

Once the agent refunds your credit, you do need to buy a goodybag, this will come with 3gb and unlimited minutes and  texts
(the allowances have been increased)
Its just a one off purchase and you can use it just for the 10 days you need it for

In the box provided tell the agent you weren't familiar with the goodybsg purchase system and you've used all your credit quickly on payandgo rates
Ask if they would refund your credit so you can convert to a goodybag

Switch mobile data off
And refrain from using your phone

Dial *100# at noon tommorrow and at 30 minute intervals (or until you receive a text alert indicating a refund)
to see if the refund has been applied

Once it has,
Immediately call 43430 and press option 2 and follow the directions to buy a £10 goodybag with your airtime credit (balance)

Maybe the goodybag purchase didnt go through?

Dial *100*7# to see your goodybag minutes allowance.

@acmus64 it's sounding like background apps updating in background that's eating your data up check all apps are set to update via Wi-Fi only

No it wasn’t a goody bag. I require the sim card for only ten days. Itv was a top up

I really do Not know what is eating up the credit. It appears theat I have I only used 250 megs though.

I believe goody bags are a monthly option. I only require the sim for ten days.

I have checked how much data I have downloaded and it is only 250 megs. I haven’t made a phone call. And maybe 5!texts.

@acmus64 250megabyte data usage on top up credit without a goody bag would cost £10.50p 

As data would be charged at 5p per megabyte data usage from credit only
