so you bought a goodybag, and had no airtime credit?  you may have sent a MMS message, these are multimedia messages and cost 16p each from your airtime credit, that may be why it says you need to top up airtime credit.

But the package stated 2GB of data 500min of calls and unlimited texts.

airtime credit (pay as you go) is much more expensive to use than a goodybag.

There was no mention or direction to purchase a goody bag. I feel this is at best misleading, I have never had issues with news sims in the past. Perhaps I should return to the larger less complicated providers.

Hi, as you're a new customer an agent will refund all your lost credit as a one off goodwill gesture, but it'll be tommorrow morning /afternoon before they do so,

Once the agent refunds your credit, you do need to buy a goodybag, this will come with 3gb and unlimited minutes and  texts
(the allowances have been increased)
Its just a one off purchase and you can use it just for the 10 days you need it for

In the box provided tell the agent you weren't familiar with the goodybsg purchase system and you've used all your credit quickly on payandgo rates
Ask if they would refund your credit so you can convert to a goodybag

Switch mobile data off
And refrain from using your phone

Dial *100# at noon tommorrow and at 30 minute intervals (or until you receive a text alert indicating a refund)
to see if the refund has been applied

Once it has,
Immediately call 43430 and press option 2 and follow the directions to buy a £10 goodybag with your airtime credit (balance)

Thank you. My sister and I are travelling together. And we have both had the same experience. I have already bought a goody bag. My sister is waiting until tomorrow. Thus far I have spent 30 pounds I appreciate the refund as an act of goodwill. And would suggest that all new customers are instructed to go directly to the goody bags and purchase the required item.
