Looking for advice on how to use voice mail.  When I press and hold 1 it asks for a number?

Hi suzanne3636.

You can specify voicemail settings on most devices to get the number 1 shortcut to work. On my Samsung phone you go in to the phone app click the 3 dot menu at the top right down to voicemail settings then voicemail number. Put in 443 and the number 1 magic button will work.

If your phone came from another network chances are a different number will be in there. Different phones will have the options in different menus but every phone I've ever owned had the option somewhere in the menus!

I hope that helps you to resolve your problem.

Hi @suzanne3636
To access the voicemail on giffgaff will need to dial 443 manually.

The call to voicemail costs 1 minute from goodybag minutes or 8p if you only have airtime credit regardless the length of the call.

Other voicemail options:
To Switch on voicemail: Dial 1616
To Switch off voicemail: Dial 1626

A detailed guide on giffgaff voicemail can be found in this http://community.giffgaff.com/t5/Using-giffgaff/Your-voicemail/ta-p/3521085 knowledge base link.

@suzanne3636 reset your voicemail PIN text RESET to 802443. You'll then receive a text with a temporary 5-digit PIN. Call the voicemail from your giffgaff phone to then enter a new PIN.
