Yes , MMS messages are charged at 16p and are not included in goodybag allowances, therefore airtime credit will be required. However, to receive MMS messages are free.

You will also need the correct MMS/APN settings to send/receive MMS messages. Follow the link below to that gives you the most appropriate methods to update the settings for your phone. The link contains settings for the most popular devices e.g. iOS(iPhone, iPad), Android(Samsung, HTC, LG), Windows, Blackberry etc.

@plot30b Hi there - Thanks for your enquiry about MMS/multi-media messages.  To enable you to access mobile data and send/receive MMS (picture messages) on giffgaff, you will need to input, save and select for use the giffgaff APN (Access Point Names) into your phones Settings (under Mobile and Networks).

You would also need to ensure that you have mobile data enabled (switched ON) in your phones Mobile Data Settings, for mobile data use.

Please find below the giffgaff APN settings and also a link for more information.

Mobile Data Settings

APN Name: giffgaff

Password: [leave blank]

Proxy: [leave blank]

MCC: 234

MNC: 10

MMS (Multi-Media / Picture Messages) Settings

APN Name: giffgaff

Password: [leave blank]

MMS proxy:

MMS port: 8080

MCC: 234

MNC: 10

APN type: mms

If you are able to receive MMS but not send them, your settings are correct but you may have an insufficient balance to complete the operation.

MMS are not included in the goodybag allowances and they cost 16p each. If you don't have credit in your balance, you will need to top up to be able to send MMS. Please top-up your Airtime Credit balance here, if required.

All the best, Bob.

It's better to get your friends and family on an app like,"WhatsApp".Then you can use the data from your GoodyBag to send pictures, make calls, message and even video chat(watch data usage). It has less limits than normal Calls and Texts/Pictures.

You can use WhatsApp at free WiFi spots as well and contact all around the World/

WhatsApp is more secure than calling and texting the normal way as well.
