Why does giffgaff keep draining my credit without making a call or using my data? I bought a £10 credit and only made just one call and was left with a credit balance of £8.60 then the next time I checked my credit balance it says £5.40 without making a call or using the data as I have Virgin broadband at home 24/7. Could someone please help if you knew the answer to my question, thanks? This has been going on for sometime now and I am just getting fed up and plan to leave if this carries on.

Hi @olaf1
It cost more to use airtime credit than does a goodybag. So that could explain the excessive usage
See airtime credit prices here https://giffgaff.com/top-up (calls, texts and data on a standard pay as you go model - 15p/minute, 5p/text or 5p per MB).

You can see details of the last 5 charges to your credit here (updated every 24 hours) https://giffgaff.com/profile/usage-statement If you use goodybags then text PLAN to 43430 to get a summary of your usage.

However, if this is information is insufficient
Then contact an agent via this link https://support2.giffgaff.com/app/ask/
Allow up to 24 hrs for a response. Agents work 7 days a week from 8am to 11pm.

@olaf1

What figures do you see against the 6 categories under "My balance" (as in the example below)? https://giffgaff.com/profile/usage-statement

I do not work for giffgaff, so cannot check anything on your account. This is a public community - please do not post any personal info.

hi Olaf

just to point out that if this is caused by using cellular data (which it probably is and you can test by switching off cellular data on your device), then even if you leave gg you'll still have the same problem.

Hello

You got it all wrong!

I'm subcribed to Virgin broadband and have had it for over 5 years without a problem. It doesn't drop like other broadbands so I know for sure that I do not have a problem with my broadband dropping. However, this dick heads giffgaff people are draining my credit on purpose so that I can top up quicker. In the last 5 days alone this mother **bleep**ers have drained £4.55 or thereabouts worth of credit which is normally reserved for calling Nigeria and not even UK numbers. The last time I made international call my call credit left was £4.55 after the call was completed. Guess what £4.55 had disappeared since then when no call was made and my phone connects to my broadband 24/7. Since this giffgaff mother**bleep**ers have stolen my £4.55 and my credit is now zero, guess what my phone still work as usual without a problem. The only option left is to report this to the authorities and leave this conny and devilish network that extolt people of their hard earned money in a sarcarstic manner.

When I complained to giffgaff agents about this unlawful deductions they immedaitely added £2.55 to my credit and guess what they then took back £4.55 from my call credit when no call was made. How rediculous that was?

That is the dirty business giffgaff are involved in using conny and devilsh means of extortion. I do not buy goodie bags simply because its a waste of money for me as I have Virgin broadband 24/7. However, I subscribed to this **bleep**ing giffgaff to enable me make international calls to stay closer to my people period! Now I just have to switch network
