Hi everyone

Apologies if I have missed any relevant posts that might answer this question - with other carriers I have been allocated an email address specific to my phone, i.e. 07857123456@o2.co.uk - is there a similar service on giffgaff please?

If so, what are the settings I need?

This service isnt on giffgaff.

But you can setup your phone for almost any email address.

Hope this helps.

edit.

as has just been mentioned, it would be advisable to remove the number from the original post.

Do this by clicking on OPTIONS - EDIT REPLY.    (on the right hand side of the post)

That sounds awful, every time you give out your email address you're giving out your phone number too! I would not opt into that

Don't think there is any email like that but you could use gmail from google you would not have to change addresses with freinds/family if you change phone providerer

Thanks everyone Robot Happy

I only asked because I have downloaded some software that has a facility to send sms to me if someone tries to steal my laptop, but it will only accept the format <YourNumber@MobileCarrier.something>

(the example I used was not my mobile number :smileySmiley Happy

heyho, guess I'll start browsing for some alternative software instead then.

Well given that it's going to SMS you why would it want an email address?  sounds daft to me!
