I have activated my SIM on my Samsung E1150 bought £10 credit received my number but still cannot make or receive calls

What does it say on the phone screen when you dial

Try switching the phone off for 5 mins and the fire it up and see if it kicks in?

Is your phone unlocked, try the sim in an unlocked phone.

restart your phone at 10 minute intervals you should be up and running shortly

thank you, I had a text from Giff Gaff a couple of minutes ago so it is working now, it had taken time to activate even though I had received an email
