can send texts go on internet but get an engaged tone on every call i try to make

FIRST - try to text SETTINGS to 2020
(this doesn't always work)

Manually Input Them into your phone's connection settings as follows:
*These Are The Standard Settings for ALL phones*
(Including iPhone's, htc's, samsung's, sonyericsson's etc)
YOUR PHONE MAY NOT ASK FOR ALL THE SETTINGS, JUST PUT IN WHAT YOU NEED

Connection Name: giffgaff - GPRS
APN-Access Point Name: giffgaff.com
Proxy Server Address: 193.113.200.195
Proxy Port: 8080
Login-Username: giffgaff
Password: password
MMC: 234
MNC: 10

Make sure the new settings are ACTUALLY SELECTED
(usually a green dot or a tick next to the new giffgaff settings)
*RESTART PHONE*

The 2 most common mistakes are the username and password, they are not your giffgaff login details, the username is 'giffgaff' and the password is the word 'password'

make sure u have credit or min in yr goodybag left and restart yr phone too

take the battery out for 2 minutes to make a new connection to network
